SANTA stands on the roof of the first house carrying a sack full of presents and ready to jump in
SANTA
Wahohohoho! First house! Santa jumps down the chimney, and then falls into a trap.

(Jumping up and down)
We did it! We did it! We did it! Revenge!!!
SANTA
Sorry to interrupt your partying, but I'm confused...
KIDNAPPER 1
Well Ho Ho Ho Santa.Nice try, but we will never forget that awful year.
Santa has a questioning face SANTA

KIDNAPPER 2
(Whispers loudly to Kidnapper 1)

K1 silently ties up Santa, around and around him with rope.

Laughing, K1 stuffs Santa into the closet. Lights dim. Scene 3- A Worried Mess (Buddy runs into the Claus' house, worried.)
Buddy and Mrs. Claus
(In unison)
Have you seen Santa???
MRS. CLAUS
Oh no! I hope he’s okay... His cookies are getting cold... He was supposed to be here an hour ago!
BUDDY
Oh no! Oh no! Oh no! Santa!? Daddy?! Where are you?? Oh no!
Buddy faints, falling on the floor. A couple seconds pass. MRS. CLAUS
I have an idea!
Buddy quickly jumps up, off the floor BUDDY
Yay! An idea! What is it? What is it? What is it?
MRS. CLAUS

BUDDY
Hurry up!
MRS. CLAUS
I was thinking...
BUDDY
OMG! You talk as slow as an old lady!
MRS. CLAUS

Scene 4- Hot Cocoa Spill KIDNAPPER 2:
I'm starting to get a bad feeling about this Ava.
KIDNAPPER 1:

Kidnapping Santa! Duh! Maybe we should tell the police.
SANTA:
I agree with Makayla. I promise if you let me go right now that I won't press any charges.
KIDNAPPER 1:

Kidnapper 1 puts Santa into the closet knowing that the police were going to come eventually.
KIDNAPPER 2:

I am hiding the evidence.
KIDNAPPER 2:
Stop it! He is innocent.
Kidnapper 2 sees the police coming and pours Makayla's hot cocoa (who doesn’t see the police yet) on her so she has to go to the bathroom to dry off. ACT 2 Back at Santa’s Castle there was a knock at the door. Buddy answers the door. In come two detectives in white coats Scene 5- Detective Time DETECTIVE 2
My name is Helga and this is my partner, Ashley.
DETECTIVE 1
Now, Mrs. Claus please tell us exactly what happened
Mrs. Claus, Dancer, and Buddy tell the story of hearing Dancer and the arrival of the two kidnappers.
DETECTIVE2
Don’t worry Mrs. Claus we will find out what happened. We will make sure that Christmas will not end this year!
Scene 6- Christmas is Saved! The Detectives are both outside investigating DETECTIVE 2
Look, there are footprints in the snow leading to the reindeer stable. Those are way to big to be from Buddy. She is a size negative 3!
DETECTIVE 1
You are right; let’s follow them.
DETECTIVE 2
Look over there; I see sleigh tracks in the snow.
DETECTIVE 1
Yes, you’re right. And they lead in the same direction as Poleville. Those tracks definitely do no come from our sleigh.
DETECTIVE 2
Quick, let’s get in our sleigh and head back to Poleville. There’s no time to waste.
DETECTIVE 2
Look over there. The tracks lead to that small cabin.
(Helga and Ashley knock on the door of the small cabin. Kidnapper 1 opens the door just a crack. He puts on a big fake smile) DETECTIVE 2
Sorry to disturb you sir. We are investigating a crime.
KIDNAPPER 1
A CRIME! How terrible. What can I do to help
DETECTIVE 1
Can we come in mam?
KIDNAPPER 1
Why certainly. I was just making some cocoa.
DETECTIVE 2
Mam, tonight something terrible has happened. Santa has been kidnapped. Just then, Ashley hears a loud bang in the closet
DETECTIVE 2
What was that? I heard a noise from your closet.
KIDNAPPER 2
Oh that is just our cat. It is always jumping and knocking over things. DETECTIVE 1
If it is all the same to you, we want to have a look inside of your closet. Ashley, take a look.
Ashley opens the door and finds Santa with his hands tied behind a chain and a scarf tied around his mouth.
DETECTIVE 2
What is this?
Ashley rushes over to the closet. DETECTIVE 1
You are under arrest for the kidnapping of Santa Clause. Why in the world would you do such an evil thing?
KIDNAPPER 1
I have wanted to do this for years. Santa put me on the “Naughty List”!
DETECTIVE 2
Well, I can certainly see why. You can expect coal in your stockings for a very long time.
Ashley put handcuffs on Kidnapper 1 and leads her out of the cabin Helga and Ashley return to Santa’s Castle with Santa. There is a big knock on the door. Buddy opens the door. The minute Buddy opens the door he sees Santa with the police officers BUDDY
Daddy! It is great to see you!
MRS. CLAUS
Santa, you’re back. How wonderful. You are safe and Christmas is saved
SANTA
Yes, but only thanks to the great work of Helga and Ashley. Without them, there may be now Christmas this year.
DETECTIVE 1
Just doing the job. Just doing the job. No need for thanks.
DETECTIVE 1
Well, it’s time for us to go. You must have many things to do before Christmas.
SANTA
